Hand-Knotted Persian Hamadan Accent Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Hamadan accent rug. This wool rug is rendered in an abrashed palette of cherry red, sapphire, teal, and ivory. It begins with an ivory star medallion with pendants over a red field. The field is populated with palmettes, florets, and other symbolic motifs, which continue into the spandrels. Framing the field are four borders. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing in ivory cotton warp fringe. The rug is marked on the reverse.
