Power-Loomed "Aubusson" Carved Chinese Wool Runner
Item Details
A power-loomed Aubusson carved wool runner. This plush, contemporary Chinese rug features a Chinese Nichols-inspired design in a palette of lilac, cream, green, and brown. It features a lilac field that is nearly completely open except for at the top and bottom, where trailing stems of roses break borders, crossing into the field, amid periwinkles. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing with applied kilim skirts and long cotton fringe. The rug is marked on the reverse.
