Handwoven Indian Dhurrie Wool Runner
Item Details
A handwoven Indian dhurrie runner. This wool rug is rendered in a palette of ivory, pink, green, and shades of blue. It features a minimalist geometric design that presents six flowering plants over an ivory field, the field framed by a strip of cerulean and a strip of navy, with an ivory outer guard. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at either end with very short kilim skirts and ivory wool warp fringe. The rug is marked on the reverse. A similar rug is offered in lot 17LOU106-005.
