A first edition copy of Maria Cheeseman: Or The Candy Girl, with a preface by Rev. James W. Alexander, D.D., and written and published by American Sunday-School Union, Pennsylvania. This darling mint green leather bound hardcover book is highlighted with gold lettering on the spine and lovely floral and scrollwork on front and back covers. This first edition was published in 1855.
