A Chinese porcelain lamp. This single-socket lamp features an urn-shaped base with butterfly-like wings in place of handles and a brass-tone cap with decorative piercework, which is echoed in the lamp’s metal pedestal. The porcelain main body is decorated with images of quail amid wildflowers and plants, with abstract patterning in orange and gilt toward the rim and base. When tested, the lamp powered on.
Condition
- minor tarnishing and surface scratches; could benefit from cleaning; felt to bottom is loose on one side; when tested the lamp powered on.
