An oil on canvas painting titled Tuna Boats at Concarneau by well-listed American painter Malcolm Humphreys (1892 – 1963). With bright colors and strong contrasts, it depicts a harbor crowded with French fishing boats and two dinghies in the foreground. It is signed to the lower right in red paint and mounted in a carved and gilded wood frame that is wired for hanging. Malcolm Humphreys was born in New Jersey and later settled in Michigan. He was known for landscape and portrait paintings.

- puncture in canvas to right of center; minor loss of paint in thin line near top edge; slight craquelure to bottom left.
