Item Details
An oil on canvas titled Spring Flowers by Anton Otto Fischer (1882-1962). This landscape depicts rolling green hills, sunlit trees and a field of flowers in Spring. The piece is signed by the artist to the lower left. It is presented in a gold tone wooden frame. Anton Otto Fischer was born in Regensburg, Bavaria and received his education at the Academie Julian in Paris. He became a U.S. citizen and served as an illustrator for the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was well known for his illustrations of seascapes and his covers and story illustrations in the The Saturday Evening Post.
