A hardcover edition of Leo Tolstoy’s classic novel War and Peace, a historical fiction tale of the Napoleonic era and Napoleon’s invasion of Russia from the perspective of five Russian families. Included here are volumes 1 and 3 of a four-volume set from one of the earliest English-language translations of the work, translated by Nathan Haskell Dole, and published 1889 by Thomas Y. Cromwell & Co. of New York. The two hardcover volumes are bound with blue cloth covers with gilt lettering and decoration.
Condition
- light cover wear and paper yellowing, but overall quite good considering age.
