Item Details
An oil on canvas painting titled Edge of Woods by listed American painter Sarah Cornelia Parke (1861 – 1937). It depicts trees light colored bark and dark green and brown foliage lining a path that into deeply shaded woods. It is signed S.C.Parke to the lower right. The painting is mounted in a wide gilt finish wood frame that is wired for hanging. Photographs of the painting and information about the artist are included.
Condition
- puncture to the bottom left front corner; cracquelure to the paint surface; back of canvas is stained and has a patch to the lower left edge and a puncture to top right edge; minor scratches to the frame.
