A hand knotted Persian Kashan silk area rug with approximately 323 knots per square inch. The rug is decorated with an abrashed pale pink field, navy blue lobed lozenge medallion, and cream colored spandrels. The field is further decorated with intricate floral and foliate designs throughout. Two minor borders with palmette motif flank the principal palmette border with dark blue ground. Over cast edges and twisted cotton fringe complete the rug.
