Model Ship U.S.S. Destroyer "Preston" 327 in Display Case

A display case with a model ship of the U.S.S. Destroyer ‘Preston’ 327. The DD-327, a destroyer, was launched in 1920 and decommissioned in 1930. It was named after the Union officer Samuel W. Preston (1840-1865). A label affixed to the interior base of the protective rectangular case, with glass sides and a top, is marked ‘5/25/39’.
