Framed Patriotic Offset Lithograph Prints

A set of four patriotic offset lithographs on paper, some featuring American flag imagery. Featured is In LaFayette’s Country, after a 1918 painting by listed American artist Orson Lowell (1871-1956). The piece was initially created for Ladies’ Home Journal and depicts an American soldier playing the Star Spangled Banner for French children during World War I. Also featured is The Birth of the Flag after a 1911 genre painting by listed American artist Henry Mosler (1841-1920), as well as an adaptation of The Spirit of 1776 after an 1875 painting by listed Ohio artist Archibald Willard (1836-1918). The set also includes a print after a genre painting by listed American artist Victor Coleman Anderson (1882-1937). Each print is presented under glass in a wooden frame, with hanging wire affixed to the verso.

Condition

- surface scratches, chips and wear to frames; abrasion to left center of Lowell print; stains to mat of Anderson print; loose joints to some frames; items would benefit from cleaning; paper backing torn to Mosler print; small tears to paper backings of other frames.
