A watercolor on paper of a suburban landscape by listed artist Reginald Leslie Grooms (Cincinnati, 1900-1989). This painting depicts suburban area with tall trees growing along the roadway. The roadway is lined with large two story homes under blue skies. This piece is signed to the lower left corner and is presented on a white mat board in cellophane.

Grooms was a painter, watercolorist, lithographer and teacher. His students include many prominent and listed Cincinnati artists. The son of a wood engraver, Grooms took up watercolors and oils as a childhood hobby. He received a minuscule amount of formal art training in his school days. Later, he would later study at the Cincinnati Art Academy for 5 years and the Academie Julian in Paris for 2 years. Grooms has had numerous solo exhibitions throughout his life. His works have been exhibited at the Cincinnati Art Museum, the Cincinnati Art Club, the University of Cincinnati, and more.
