Item Details
An oil on canvas landscape painting by Madeline Bach. The work depicts an alpine mountainous landscape. There is a wooden lodge in the foreground with cliffs and mountains in the background. The work is signed to the lower right and inscribed what appears to read ‘Ruegg Wengen’ to the lower left. It is presented in an ornate gold tone frame with paper labels affixed to the verso.
Condition
- canvas was relined; wax to edges; craquelure all across the foreground, to both buildings and to white cliff face to right side; crack to gesso molding to right side.
