A 1978 oil painting on canvas by J.V Capua. Titled A Margate Hoy and a Two-Decker in a Calm this depicts a tall three-masted ship on the right, and a small sloop-rigged boat on the left, with various other vessels in the distance upon the still waters. This work is signed in the lower corner and presented within a wooden frame. A sticker with the title is adhered on verso.
Condition
- fair; 2" long tear to canvas to left side near ship with craquelure surrounding that area; other small stains scattered across surface;, significant yellowing to varnish; wear to finish of frame.
