An oil painting on canvas by C. Lavel. Titled Chickens, this genre work depicts two chickens, some chicks, a rooster, and a pair of doves, within a hay-strewn barn. This work is signed in the lower left corner ‘C. Lavel’ and presented within a gold tone wooden frame. A label from W T Burger Co is attached on verso.

- painting shows some surface dust; cracks to the gesso to all four corners of frame; peeling to finish to lower edge.
