Item Details
An oil painting on canvas by Ethel Murray. This work depicts two men fishing in a stream between large rock formations with a view of a grass covered hillside and a house stands in the background. The piece is unsigned. It is presented in a gold tone gesso and wood frame. The work is dated by another hand ‘Eng 19th Cent’ in black Sharpie to the verso.
Condition
- to fair; frame has scratches throughout; frame is beginning to separate at corners; stretcher frame is leaving indentations in canvas; relined canvas; craquelure throughout; gaps between canvas and frame; gallery stickers adhered to verso; no hanging hardware present.
