An oil painting on canvas by Spanish painter Rafael Velasco Valero (1931-). Titled Village Square this depicts the bronze statue of Don José I upon a plinth in the center of the Praça do Comércio in Lisbon. The row of the yellow 18th-century facades, with the stone loggia below, wraps across the middle ground, below the blue sky. This work is signed in the lower right corner and presented within a gold tone wooden frame. Artist information is attached on verso.

- some minor surface wear to the frame.
