A semi-antique hand knotted Persian Shiraz area rug. The wool rug features three navy blue colored diamond shaped medallions over a scarlet lozenge field. The medallions display geometric forms, while the field is studded with various motifs and wildlife figures. The field supports navy spandrels with the same shapes from the field in each corner. A complex border in various earth tone colors and black completes the rug.
