18th Century Engraving Map "La France"
Item Details
An engraving featuring a map of France titled La France engraved by F. Pere Desbruslins and published by Buffier in 1744. This map has intricate engraved details. This item corresponds to the ‘page 9’ indicated to the upper right corner. A title reading ‘La France, suivant les derniers observations de l’Academie Royale des Sciences’ was engraved to the upper left corner. To the verso, there is a faded graphite enumeration with an incorrect date of publication. The item is presented in a plastic encasement.
Condition
- minor foxing and yellowing throughout, especially along edges; two vertical folding marks present to paper.
