An oil painting on canvas signed ‘Antonio Sannino’. The piece, titled Canal, depicts a summer maritime scene, with canal boats and colorful flowers shown in the foreground. The painting captures the Italian landscape in hues of blue, green, red, cream and pink. The image is signed in red paint to the lower right. It is additionally signed in pen to the verso. A label is adhered to the frame verso from W.T. Burger Company noting the work as an ‘Original Oil Painting, Registry No: 167802, Frame No: 857 ORN+1’ F&C-570, Order No: 06B-1339’. The item is presented without glass in a wooden frame with gold tone gesso embellishments. The frame verso includes a label with artist information about Antonio Sannino (Italy, 1959).
