An oil painting on canvas signed ‘Z. Shelly’. The piece, titled Street Scene, depicts a summer day in a Dutch town, with a walkway, quaint buildings and tulips lining a canal. The image captures the peaceful landscape in hues of blue, green, red, brown and cream. The painting is signed in black paint to the lower right. A label is adhered to the frame verso from W.T. Burger Company noting the work as an ‘Original Oil Painting, Registry No: 161369, Frame No: 7567-323+L89-190-323, Order No: 04C-10371’. The piece is presented without glass in a wooden frame with gold tone gesso embellishments. The frame verso includes a label with artist information about artist Z. Shelly, also known as Li Xiao (China, 1957).
