Late 19th Century Double-Sided Map of Atlanta and New Orleans
Item Details
A double-sided engraved map on paper depicting the cities of Atlanta, Georgia and New Orleans, Louisiana by American cartographer George F. Cram (1842-1928). The map, dated between the late 19th century and early 20th century, was printed in yellow, pink, and blue inks. A graphite inscription on the Atlanta side of the map reads, ‘P939d / (Kansas City 1891).’ The rippled texture on the left side of the paper suggests the page was previously bound in a book.
Condition
- fair; discoloration to the paper, concentrated along the upper, right, and lower egdes; tears along all four sides of paper, some repaired with tape.
