An original oil painting on canvas seascape. This realist inspired piece depicts the fragments of a corinthian column with acanthus leaf design in a body of water. Several boats and fisherman are rendered in the light blue waters with a mountain range in the distance. This piece is unsigned and is presented without glass in a wooden frame with stylized acanthus leaf molding.
Condition
- craquelure throughout the composition; lacquer is yellowing; gilt is starting to wear throughout; piece is loose in frame; white residue to canvas backing.
