Charles Vickery Oil Painting "Sparkling Waters"
Item Details
An oil painting on canvas titled Sparkling Waters by Illnois based artist Charles Vickery (1913-1998). Signed by hand to the lower left corner, the painting depicts the crashing waves of the ocean hitting a cliff side all under a cloud filled sky. The piece is presented in a gold tone wood and plaster frame with an elaborate floral design. A wire is present to the verso for hanging purposes. Vickery is best known for his paintings of seascapes.
Condition
- to fair; scratches, nicks and chipped wood present to the frame, especially to the upper left corner; discoloration and dirt present to the painting; craquelure present throughout.
