A watercolor painting of birds on laid paper. Depicted are a pair of small thrush-like birds perched on the end of a blossom-covered branch. The graphite underdrawing is still visible through much of the work. Signed in ink by the artist ‘L. Manet’ to the lower right corner; to the verso are a pair of small earth tone watercolor studies of a house. Presented as a loose work without a frame or mat.
