An antique original oil painting on canvas by well-listed English landscape artist William H. Muller Hewitt (1848 – 1921). The image depicts a white cat and a black cat calmly looking at each other amidst a beautifully manicured flower garden. Artist signature is signed in paint to the lower left. This work is mounted in its original wood frame with cast gesso embellishments and a brown finish, equipped to hang.

- edge wear to frame, darkened varnish, slight crackling, minor lacuna near right center edge of composition.
