An antique circa 1930’s hand-knotted Persian Shadsar Kashan room size rug. This Persian wool rug features a crisp curvilinear design beginning with a medallion in cobalt over a red field. The field is populated with palmette, foliate, and floral arabesques, the pattern continuing into cobalt, sky blue, and cream spandrels. The primary border is sky blue with a palmette meander pattern. The rug finishes at either end with short, natural wool warp fringe. It is signed in the border.
