A mid-century oil painting on board by an unknown artist. The untitled image depicts a European cityscape and utilizes an impasto technique to achieve a textured effect. The colorful street scene shows pedestrians walking past street vendors and tall buildings with grand architectural facades. The painting is signed illegibly in black paint to the lower left. It is matted in tan burlap and presented without glass in a wooden frame with hanging wire to the verso.

Condition

- frame is missing two of the wooden front pieces that hold the image in place; exposed edge and wear to left side and bottom edge of painting; some scratches and craquelure to paint surface; wear to burlap liner; burlap has slight odor.
