A 1987 handwritten letter and autograph from then-Vice-President George H. W. Bush. This letter, handwritten on ‘Aboard Air Force Two’ letterhead memo paper, is headed ‘Oct. 6, 1987, Iowa to D.C.’ and reads ‘Dear Arlene, Thanks ever so much for the peach jam – yum, yum, good! How very thoughtful of you. I enjoyed my visit – now off to D.C. Many Thanks, George Bush.’ The letter is presented under glass in a black wooden frame along with the matching hand-addressed envelope; an autographed, stamped and postmarked mailing envelope; and an autographed card reading ‘The Vice President of the United States of America’.
