A circa 1850s transfer-printed ironstone platter in the Vincennes pattern by John Alcock Cobridge. This octagonal platter is decorated in gray tones with an image depicting a family standing together among the Roman ruins in Vincennes, Paris, France. It is embellished with a border of architectural and floral motifs and the underside is marked ‘John Alcock Cobridge Vincennes’.

Condition

- a few small marks and light fading to decoration; one minor chip to underside.
