A mixed media of Hokkaido scenery. This piece depicts a lake with mountains surrounding a distant coastline and tall evergreen trees in the foreground. The piece is made with a combination of bark and moss vegetation. The verso is marked ‘For Brig. Gen. Moore Hokkaido Scenery Look over the lake Kuttsusharo from Bihoro Pass.’ Also, ‘Ground General Juichi Kishimoto HQ Northern Corps GSDF-J.’ There are other inscriptions in Japanese. The piece is framed in a gold tone wood frame with wire to the verso for hanging.
