Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot Hand-Colored Etchings After French Landscapes

A pair of hand-tinted etchings of French landscapes after works by Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot. These prints on paper, originally etched by G. Greux in 1905 after Corot’s paintings, include Souvenir De Castel Gandolfo and La Route de Sin le Noble, which depict quiet scenes of the French countryside and small villages. To the margins is a printed title and artist attribution. Both prints are presented under glass in a gold tone wooden frame featuring carved patterning to the surface and hanging wire to the verso.
Condition
- small chips to the gesso on frame; insect damage to the paper, toning throughout.
