Item Details
A collection of antique photogravure reproductions of historical paintings with an erotic bent. The black and white images feature exotic settings and scantily clad women. The Justice of the Sheriff (Moors in Spain XIV Century) is after an original by J.J. Benjamin-Constant, The Romans of the Decadence is after a painting by Thomas Couture, and The Harem of Ramsesis after an original by J.J.A. Lecomte du Nouy. Each print is labeled ‘Paris Exposition 1889’ in the margin. The prints are not framed.
