Ernst Sollinger Gouache Depicting Small Boat Tied-Up At Village Sidewalk

A gouache painting depicting a small boat tied-up next to a village sidewalk by Ernst Sollinger (German, 20th Century). The painting depicts the boat tied to a sidewalk raised above the waterline. The silhouette of a man can be seen next to the boat. Older four-story buildings, which appear to be sinking, stand adjacent to the sidewalk on the right side. The artist has signed and dated the the work, ’45, at the lower right corner. It is presented with a green-grey mat in a narrow gold tone frame. Handwritten information on the verso provides additional details about Sollinger. Wired for hanging.
