Russel Wright "Modern" Pottery

Item Details

A collection of Russel Wright tableware. The pieces were made in the Modern form by Steubenville, the first pottery to produce Wrights designs. The pieces have gray glaze which is one of the original colors and are marked with the company’s second mark giving an approximate manufacturing date of the 1940’s. The group consists of six pieces including two vegetable dishes, two sauce boats, a cream jug and sugar bowl. There are impressed factory marks reading ‘Russel Wright Made by Steubenville’ to the undersides.

Condition

- one of the bowls has a crack; some residue.
