Antique American Mahogany Blanket Chest on Stand, Circa 1820-40

Item Details

An antique blanket chest on stand, features a dovetail mahogany chest on stand, circa early 19th century. The chest has two round embellishments to the left and right, one is missing its metal cap and the original escutcheon is missing. The top opens with two small hinges and is unsupported otherwise. The top chest rests on a base, with mortise and tenon construction and features a single drawer that rests on four turned legs. The drawer features handcut dovetail joinery and a bronze tone bail and pull.
