Antique English Sterling Silver Sauce Tureens With Child Family Crest
Item Details
A pair of early nineteenth-century English sterling silver sauce tureens with the Child family armorial crest. The pair were likely produced by Daniel Smith and Robert Sharp in the early part of the nineteenth-century. They are engraved with the Child family crest on the exterior together with stag’s head crests on the lid, as well as dentil molding and ear-shaped handles on either side. A partially impressed mark depicts a lion silver standard mark and maker’s mark reading ‘D.S’. The total approximate weight 43.105 ozt.
