An offset lithograph on board after an 1876 pastoral landscape painting by listed New York artist Jasper F. Cropsey (1823 – 1900). The image, titled The Old Red Mill, depicts a rural autumn view, with cows grazing and ducks swimming in a lazy river. A red grist mill’s wheel turns, as vegetation and trees with green and red leaves surround the peaceful scene. The piece is signed and dated in plate to the lower right. The image is presented in a wooden frame with a metal plate affixed to the lower center with artist and title information. The frame also includes sawtooth brackets for hanging.
