A bronze sculpture of a woman by listed artist Jose de Creeft (Spain; 1884-1982). Depicted is a female nude figure seated on a rock-like formation. This sculpture is attached to a granite stone base. The piece is signed on the base of the bronze sculpture along the left side.

Jose de Creeft was a Modernist sculpture from Guadalajara, Spain and studied in Paris studying at the Academie of Julian. During 1911, he learned to reproduce in stone works initially made in clay and plaster at Maison Greber. Creeft began exhibiting regularly in a modernist exhibition between 1919-1928. He emigrated to America in 1929 and had his first solo exhibition at Feragil Galleries in New York. His work has been on view at various private and public institutions such as Art Institute of Chicago, Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Modern Art in Manhattan. His work can even be found at Central Park in New York where he created a 16ft bronze climbing sculpture of Alice In Wonderland.
