Chinese Handcrafted Cloisonne Enamel Clock

A Chinese handcrafted cloisonne enamel clock. The clock is artistically designed with an enamel and brass urn to the top flanked by gilt foliate accents. The brass top of the clock is adorned with eight cloisonne enamel finials surrounding tiered base for urn styling. The clock has a nice enamel and cloisonne crest with twelve matching columns leading to brass base with enamel apron and rounded feet. The cloisonne enamel work features intricate flower, foliate, cloud and pineapple symbols over a pale blue background in hues of rust, varying greens, yellow, navy and pink hues. There is a glass door with brass trim that opens to a pale blue enamel clock with lovely hand painted flowers to the corners. The chapter ring is white with black roman numerals and hands and marked “CF” to top. The original clock has been replaced with a battery operated clock. The clock is finished with a hand painted pendulum featuring a landscape scene with a sailing vessel as the focal point.

Condition

- there is wear to brass finish to top of clock. The clock is untested and timekeeping accuracy cannot be guaranteed. Original clock mechanism has been replaced.
