A 1944 oil on canvas painting by J. Hellström. The maritime scene, titled Genua, depicts Italy’s Genoa harbor. A small boat and large steamer float in the Ligurian sea as colorful buildings can be seen along the shoreline. The work is signed, dated and titled in black paint to the lower left. It is presented unframed.

Condition

- canvas has lost tension; stretcher marks to canvas; small hole to canvas at top center right; craquelure to top right; dent to canvas at lower right; abrasions along edges; painting is unframed; wear to edges of canvas.
