Limited Edition 1895 Etching "Belmangro"

An 1895 etching on paper by an unknown artist. The monochromatic print, titled Belmangro, features a palette of black on brown and depicts a lush garden setting, with two men in suits and porkpie hats shown seated on park benches. The print is signed ‘HM, 21’ in plate to the lower right. The work is additionally titled, dated and signed illegibly in graphite to the mat; it is numbered ‘19/22’. The item is matted in tan and presented under glass in a wooden frame with gold tone gesso accents, as well as hanging cord to the back.

Condition

- to Fair; fading and discoloration to print with age; scratching and chipping to frame finish; frame corners are heavily chipped; tears and discoloration to frame’s paper backing
