Vintage Continental China Set Designed by Raymond Loewy
Item Details
A vintage Continental China set designed by noted industrial designer Raymond Loewy (1893-1986). It features twelve dinner plates, ten bread and butter plates, six teacups, two saucers, one platter, and one stylized bowl. The plates are white with a decorative black linear swirl pattern in the center. Four of the teacups are white, while three have a black exterior and a white interior. The stylized bowl has a black exterior and white interior. Each piece is marked to the underside. Also includes a similar, unmarked black and white set with eleven short mugs, eight footed dishes, and two tall mugs.
There are thirty-two Continental China pieces and twenty-one unmarked pieces, for a total of fifty-three pieces.
