A tribute proof replica coin of the 1854-S $20 gold San Francisco Mint Double Eagle. This tribute proof is a copy of the historic coin and was released in honor of the original’s 150th anniversary. It comes in a plastic case. The replica is marked ‘COPY’ on the reverse and it comes with documentation stating that it is one of 100,000 pieces, it weighs one ounce, is 39mm in diameter, and consists of brass with 100 mil of pure silver layered in 10 mil pure gold. The original coin was designed by James Longacre.
