A hardcover first American edition copy of Irish author Liam O’Flaherty’s bestselling novel The Informer. Published in 1925 by Alfred A. Knopf. The plot concerns an Irish revolutionary who betrays a comrade to the authorities and is subsequently hunted down by his former friends. This is the first American edition, published the same year as the first British edition, and has a black cloth hardcover with a colorful abstract design to the front.

- light wear to spine and slight paper yellowing, consistent with age. Former owner’s name pencilled to front flyleaf.
