A pair of matching Chinese vases. The handpainted porcelain vases have a rounded body with a flared lip are painted in a color pallet similar to that of Rose Medallion. The front of the vase depicts a court scene with an emperor surrounded by many attendants. The center images are surrounded by a vine and flower motif accented The shoulders and neck of the are decorated with raised gold colored dragons accented with musical images, butterflies, and birds. The undersides are stamped with a Qianlong reign mark, however, the vases were likely produced in the Republic Period (1912-1949).
