Etienne Ret Limited Edition Etching on Paper "Ondine"

A limited edition etching on paper titled Ondine by listed artist Etienne Ret (1900 – 1996), produced 1970. This monotone piece depicts a seated nude female figure with intertwined and flexed legs, contemplating her reflection in a hand mirror. The subject is rendered from a profile perspective with elongated extremities and dramatic lines within blue tonalities. The work is signed by the artist in graphite to the lower left, titled to the lower center and numbered 41 from a 100 edition to the lower right corner. Presented behind glass, beneath a burlap beige mat and housed in a wood frame with visible grains in a gray and black finish. There is an informational fragmented label affixed to the verso.
