H. Walberg Original Pastoral Landscape Watercolor
Item Details
An original watercolor on paper with a subtle laid finish signed to the lower right by artist H. Walberg, completed during the first half of the 20th century. The image depicts a rural pastoral landscape in which scattered brown and black cows graze near a watering hole, under an overcast, stormy sky. This painting is mounted under glass in an antique wood frame with a cast floral foliate veneer and a gold leaf finish. A hanging wire is attached to the verso.
Condition
- discoloration and wear to painting. Finish of frame is chipped in numerous areas, with cracking, tarnishing and general wear throughout.
