Cast Reproduction Sculpture After Cesare Constantino Ceribelli's "Bust of Bianca"

A cast reproduction sculpture after an original circa 1885 bronze sculpture titled Bust of Bianca by Cesare Constantino Ceribelli (Italian, 1841-1918). This depicts the Italian noblewoman Bianca Cappello (1548-1587) as the Goddess Aphrodite, with a griffin headdress and elaborate dress. The bust rises upon a pedestal base and is made of brass.

Condition

- some oxidation in the crevices around the mouth and the back of the head; the brooch in the front also has some discoloration and oxidation.
